Online Counseling
Relationship / Career / Work-Life Balance / Family / Communication
We are inhabiting a rapidly-changing world thanks to Covid-19. So many things that we take for granted are no longer easily accessible. With the emphasis on social distancing and in many instances, absolutely no social contact at all, isolation is becoming a major issue.
It was during the lockdown that I began offering online counseling sessions via Zoom. It was a period when many people needed extra support. Online counseling was one way of providing my services.
I continue to provide online counseling as there are people who, for all sorts of reasons, are unable to come for face to face sessions. Their working hours might make it difficult to take time out easily, or they may be too far away to make the journey to see me. Zoom sessions make it possible for anyone to access counseling support.
Online Counseling FAQs
Is online counseling effective?
Yes, online counseling is effective as long as the client has a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space. The process is the same as a face to face session. Online counseling has always been available but it has become especially popular during the current global pandemic when people have been in lockdowns or simply more cautious about face to face meetings.
How can I talk to a counselor online?
Online counseling (or online therapy) sessions are held via Zoom or Skype. They can also be done via FaceTime or Whatsapp video. The important thing is to have a stable internet connection and private space that is quiet.
